LateCassie was never late. It was the castles fault, really, though saying so made her sound absolutely mad. First, she had gone to her common room to gather her things, and an owl that wasn't even hers had perched itself on one of her many books. It had taken a good five minutes to coax it off of her transfiguration books. After that, she had scared herself into believing she was already far too late. Cass had left the dungeons in a hurry, and as a result, had forgotten to jump over the trick step on the stairs. Of course she had, because if something humiliating happened, it happened to her. It took her another ten minutes, and a lot of blushing, to get her foot out of the stairs. And naturally she had practically fallen out of the hole. It had taken longer than she had hoped, but Cassie had finally arrived at the spot on the seventh floor she was told to meet the other student. To say she was nervous was an understatement. She had tutored before, just once, but it had been a first year. This time, it was a seventh year who was struggling. She felt bad for the girl, but she was horrible about talking to people as it was. On top of that, she was excited. Her mum had told her stories about the Room of Requirements. Apparently she had spent a lot of time in there, because she had loads of stories. Doing as she was told, all the pacing, and the picturing the place she wanted to be, she stopped as the doors appeared. Letting a wide smile cross her face, she took in a deep breath and pushed open the large doors in front of her. The room was better than she could have imagined. It was exactly what they needed. A tall bookshelf to one side of the room practically called to her. As much as she wanted to run over and just start reading, she turned her attention on the girl leaning back in her chair. Biting on her lip, she slowly walked over and set her bag on the floor. “Hi, I’m Cassie.” She introduced quietly, setting her books on the desk a crossed from the other girl.

Cassie frowned slightly as she rubbed a finger print off of the handle of her broom. It really was filthy from practicing all summer. The good thing was that she was already on the team, so even though she still had to try out, her spot was pretty much guaranteed. Unless of course there was a seeker out there that was better than her. Though she wouldn’t boast out loud, she doubted it, as she liked to think she was actually pretty good at Quidditch. Her mum had taught her well. The sound of someone running caught her attention, and pulled it away from the broom in front of her. Her brown eyes slowly lifted to look at the blonde boy in front of her. Immediately, her eyes widened, because it wasn't often anyone approached her just for the sake of talking. Shifting uncomfortably, she moved a hand to twirl in her hair as she bit on her lower lip. He wasn’t in Hufflepuff, but she recognized him from the classes they had together. Lysander usually stood out as it was, with his bright blonde hair – and his personality made him stand out just that much more. Squinting at him, she dropped her hand to the grass to fiddle with it instead. Picking at a blade, she took in a nervous breath. “Oh…” did she look lonely? She supposed she probably did most of the time, since she didn’t exactly socialize much. She wasn’t though, alone was fine, at least, it kept her nerves in check. “Not… not lonely, not really,” she spoke quietly, her eyes now studying his face both nervously and curiously. It actually wasn’t fair that he had the courage to go up and talk to anyone he wanted when she couldn’t. “B-but you’re welcome to sit with me if you want, I don’t mind.” He seemed nice enough anyway. Or she hope d he’d be nice. [/div]

EVIE R. WARRINGTON & Cassie
Cass would LOVE to help her bump up her grade in Transfig, since I can see her being a bit advanced in it. The quieter the place the better, as it might keep her from being quiet herself. So the Library or the Room of Requirement would be terrific. Though, in RoR, she'd probably keep wanting to explore, just because she's heard stories about it from her mum. If you could start it, that would be amazing. I'm a bit busy with work lately and haven't been able to rp as much as I'd like
LYSANDER P. SCAMANDER & Cassie
Definitely know each other for sure. She'd probably admire him a bit, as well as be fascinated. Simply because she's a closet goofball, she just gets terribly shy. I can see her accidentally letting it show around him every now and again and then tensing up like nothing happened. Maybe he can break her of that shyness some day? At the very least, I'm good with them knowing each other, maybe talking a bit sometimes!

The first few nights back at school were the hardest - though they were usually the best at the same time. At least, the previous years had been the best. Now she was a fifth year and the work load was already bogging her mind down. The only place left that felt peaceful was her comfort zone. That, of course, was the Quidditch Pitch. It was the only place she felt truly comfortable, the only place that she actually raised her voice above a soft whisper. During Quidditch, Cassie was actually known to yell at people. After all, she didn't have much else to do, not until the snitch appeared. Just yell at people to get the quaffle through the hoop, and avoid bludgers. Outside the pitch, she barely spoke to anyone. Not unless they spoke to her first, and then she kept her answers small.
Sometimes, she wished she could be a bit more social like her mum was. Somehow, she had missed that gene and had gotten her father's shyness. Plopping down on the grass, Cassie placed her broom in front of her and got out her broom polishing kit and set to work. After all, she couldn't very well start the year with a dirty broom. It needed to be clipped a bit as well, from all of the practice she did over the summer.
A small part of her wanted to forget the broom maintenance and just get on her broom and soar. It had to be done though, and for the time being, she was enjoying sitting in the grass, alone on the pitch. It wasn't often that it wasn't packed with people, and she'd take it while it lasted.

I feel like she'd love to help Evie with her school work - even though she's two grades above Cassie. Especially Transfiguration, Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts. I think playing it out, and seeing if a friendship blossoms could be really fun. Maybe Evie can bring Cass out of her shell, it'd be a lot of fun to see. Thread? If anything, Cassie's hesitance to really jump into conversations with Olivia may annoy her, however, Cass herself wouldn't ever get annoyed with something like that. In fact, I think she'd really want to TRY and jump in and chat, but would get scared and shut down. So she may get uncomfortable, but it could be a good thing to push her out of her comfort zone a bit. Treating her like the little sis could be a really good thing for Cass, and maybe Olivia too. I think it all sounds great! They both play Quidditch, and that's really the only place Cass speaks up and shows confidence. Perhaps Olivia could have noticed here there?

C A S S A N D R A » A N N E » H O D G K I N CASSIE . FIFTEEN . HALF-BLOOD .HUFFLEPUFF . SEEKER . PREFECT . DAUGHTER OF CHO CHANG . QUIET . SWEET F.R.I.E.N.D.SI imagine Cassie would have at least a few of these. She's shy, so it takes her a bit to open up. But once she does, she's incredibly loyal (Hufflepuff, of course) and just about the best friend you could ask for. She's quiet, which comes from being shy, but she's goofy once she opens up to someone. She'd do anything for her friends. That being said, she wouldn't consider someone who hates muggles a friend. Though, she firmly believes she can change anyone's mind if she puts her mind to it. She'll say they just need a hug and to listen carefully to what she says. And when they don't listen, she'll say their being silly and try again later.
EVIE R. WARRINGTON - ?? Maybe in in the futureE.N.E.M.I.E.SAs I said before, she feels like she can change anyone's mind if she tries hard enough. Therefore she wouldn't really consider anyone an enemy. However, I'm sure there are some out there that think badly of her just because her dad's muggleborn, and her mums a witch. L.O.V.E.R.SIf someone would like to try, I'd love to watch it play out. Mostly because she's incredibly shy, and therefore will blush and completely shut down around anyone she finds remotely attractive. She's awkward enough as it is, so add in attraction and she becomes a literal red potato.A.C.Q.U.A.I.N.T.A.N.C.E.SMost of the school say AYE. With how hard it is to make friends when one is shy, I can see her knowing OF most of her classmates, but not really sure how to approach any of them.
OLIVIA R. WOOD - to be determined? LYSANDER P. SCAMANDER - to be determined? PLOT WITH ME

| [attr="class","GGcontainer2temp1"] [break][break] [attr="class","GGcontenttemp1"] Cassandra Anne Hodgkin was born the only daughter of Cho and Arthur Hodgkin. An already interesting family, as Cho is a witch, and Arthur is a muggle, they married and quickly had their first daughter, Cassie. It wasn't much of a surprise to Cho when Cassie first got her Hogwarts letter. After all, she herself was a witch and had witnessed the tell-tale signs of Cassie being one as well. Arthur didn't know what to expect, Cho had told him about Hogwarts, and about being a witch, and he had witnessed magic for himself, but his own daughter being a witch? Well he had a hard time believing it at first. [break] Her first sign of magic had been when she was only four years old. Arthur took her to get her haircut - something Cassie had fought hard against. The cut had been shorter than any of them had anticipated, but by the very next day, Cassie's hair had grown back completely. Not long after, Cho had tried to throw away an old blanket that her daughter loved. It was for her daughters own good, it was old, and gross, and ratty. Every time it went in the trash, it magically appeared back in her daughters room. From a trashcan that the young girl couldn't even get too. Even though Arthur had witnessed Cho's magic, and had heard all about it, well he was still a muggle. Oblivious to all things magic even when they smacked him in the face. To him all of this was a mere coincidence. [break] At least, it was until an owl showed up at their house - which was almost normal to him now - and delivered a letter from Hogwarts to his ten year old daughter. Of course Cho had known it would happen, however, it took Arthur a week to let it fully sink in. The only surprise for Cho was that Cassie didn't make Ravenclaw when she had arrived. Instead, she made Hufflepuff, something that hit Cho rather hard. After all, her old boyfriend, who had died thanks to Voldemort, had been a Hufflepuff. [break] Now at Hogwarts, Cassie is on the quiet side, trying her best to get good grades and make friends. She writes home often, and enjoys Quidditch just like her mother. [break][break] |
