a falling star fell from your heart. You know that patented "deer in the headlights" look that some people recreate when something is going a little over the rails? Anita felt like that when the subject of Quidditch came up. This Quidditch thing... She knew about it, but she wasn't at all interested in getting off the ground and flying around. One of the Hufflepuffs' biggest weaknesses happened to be motion sickness. Being on the ground and watching people spin around a foot above her made her nauseous. There wasn't any rhyme or reasoning behind it. The girl didn't want a piece of anything that went around in circles and traveled fast. "I think you might have mistaken me for another green-haired girl," Anita said, finishing off part of her snack. "I believe you were part of the Huffies' First Year flying lessons. I didn't fare well after getting down off of the broom." She wasn't sure if Olivia was in that class or not. All she remembered was the sight of everyone standing around her and a pile of her own vomit; some of the classmates having to quickly exit the group upon looking at whatever she had to eat for breakfast. That was just one of the memories that she had stored in her mind since getting off of the train seven years ago. Anita was a Seventh Year. What the hell was that supposed to mean? Other than NEWT-level classes, there wasn't anything special about her last year. It was just... Classes and free time, as per usual. As she opened up another freezer pop, the Seventh Year spoke up again. "I think that's just what I was thinking. I can't be sitting around here doing nothing. There has to be some sort of thing we can do. Get some of the other Seventh Years together and come up a prank?"That would just be her luck - not graduating because she messed up school property. 322 WORDS FOR OLIVIA R. WOOD ― I don't know... a falling star fell from your heart. Everyone had different opinions on the kitchen elves. Some people thought they were the friendliest people on earth. Before Anita sat down across from Olivia, she took note of how playful the elves seemed to be around the Gryffindor. This hurt the little Badger's feelings a little bit, considering that those little freaks took a different interest in her. Perhaps it her manner that offended them? Something about her choice in clothing? The fact that they had never seen someone with dyed green hair before? Oh, the possibilities. After getting a warm welcome back from her Seventh Year counterpart, Anita happily took the chair that was offered to her. Sitting on top of the table was just another reason for the elves to go on an all-out attack on her, probably. So taking a seat on a piece of furniture that was actually designed for sitting was a great idea. It was a good way of getting back on the good side of the line. "Summer was a little boring," the Hufflepuff said in-between bites of her freezer pops. "Surprisingly, it was completely different than something I would usually do. Kind of charged up the batteries. Nothing special on my end. Kind of weird, really." She rolled her eyes as she finished speaking, almost as if to say that her family decided to do little during the summer. No interesting trips out of country for a change. How strange was that? In a quick turn-around, Anita knew that it was only right to return the serve. "How about you? Anything special in your summer?" She was talking to a Wood child. Of course, there had to have been something interesting happening in her life. Maybe something cooler than what the Goyle child had supposedly "planned" for herself. Quidditch stuff? That family was big into the sport. Okay, stop trying to figure out what she was doing. Let her say it herself. |

a falling star fell from your heart. Hufflepuffs had it pretty easy when they weren't in classes. If they were camped out in the Common Room, they could easily sneak out to grab themselves some snacks in-between meals. Some of the Badgers were able to get down there frequently, and you'd be surprised to know that they were in pretty decent shape with all of those trips back and forth. It wasn't that far of a walk from the kitchens and back, though... Nutritionists everywhere would want to sit down with these people and discuss their binge-eating lifestyles. But it was only early in the school year, and the prefects of the Hufflepuff house would have to sit down with the First Years and discuss to them that they weren't allowed to just wander in the kitchens for the hell of it. La di da. The same old song and dance: Besides, would anyone listen to it? Anita got the spiel when she was in their shoes, and she was very good about listening to what they had to say early on. But she was seventeen and a Seventh Year. There was a part of her that almost said 'look, are you going to listen to what the older students told you when you a First Year', but she didn't wish to listen to that part of her. She knew she could get caught sneaking around, looking in refrigerators and whatnot. If a Professor saw her, she was going to get "the talk". And it would actually be the first time that they did. As the faint voices from Prefects past slowly started to exit her mind, she made it into the kitchens. Anita looked around for the closest freezer for some ice pops - one of her favorite treats - with some dirty looks and death glares from a few of the elves who were cleaning up dishes from the previous meal. The Badger had to think it was some kind of ploy; one that would supposedly have her running for the exit before they found a way to get a Professor to sentence her to detention. She shook her head and rolled her eyes, not caring if the closest elf could mutilate her at any moment... Which would have been a shame, considering there could have been some sort of lawsuit between Anita's parents and Hogwarts. When she reached the freezer to grab some tropical-flavored ice pops, she glanced over to someone sitting at a table by herself. She knew the person as Olivia, who was also a Seventh Year. They were pretty close when it came to a friendly relationship. Why not go over to talk to her? Strike up some 'hey, great to see you again' conversation? Knowing it would be rude if that wasn't what happened, Anita felt obliged to go over to the Gryffindor. "Hey there," Anita said, trying to get into a comfortable position across from the Wood child. "Great to see you again!"After that, she took another glance at the elf who was chopping things up for another freezer. Damn, that thing could kill you if it tried... |

Agreed. Both are Seventh Years, so having that trust system is already in place. Olivia would make a great enemy for Anita, considering that there's a strong chance that she couldn't take her batshitness (I think that's not a word, but let's just ignore that). There's that part of 'Nita that would definitely put her faith in Olivia's hands. But yeah, let's thread this thing out and see where this ultimately goes. I'd love to see what my brain thinks. |

So this is Anita's current relationship: --- Finch-Fletchley, the eldest child. Like all of the students in the years surrounding them (mainly Sixth and Seventh Years), he knows about her bisexuality and has admitted to others that he's actually taking his chances with her. --- is a fiery Gryffindor. While he's gentle to his girlfriend, he will get a tad bit upset when he finds out that Anita has a girlfriend on the side. Once this happens, it is actually undetermined on whether or not he tries to defame whatever good reputation that the Badger has left. They've been together since the two of them were Fifth Years.

They're positive that they're not going to be in the same career field, but isn't it ironic that they chose the same classes to begin with? --- is either a bisexual or lesbian character, who became "friends" with Anita in the same time frame that it was revealed that our Goyle girl did come out as bixsexual herself. The two of them became more than just friends, and their relationship has lasted one year and counting. If she finds out that Anita's been seeing the Finch-Fletchley boy, is she going to start an all-out war on who gets our poor Hufflepuff?

friends If there's anyone who's going to be compassionate to Anita, it's going to be those who understand where she's coming from. People who carry the same traits as she does. For a Seventh Year, she doesn't trust just anyone anymore. She knows that there are those out there who aren't going to take her up and down crap. Let's face it: When you're on your highest of highs one day, and living on the opposite side of the pole the next, who do you believe? So if you can put up with her semi-insane antics, this is the girl you want to be friends with. enemies And with those who are tolerant to her crazy days, come those who want to make her life a living hell once she's deep inside of them. These are the catty bitches and ignorant assholes who think that it's okay to kick someone when they're already down in the dirt. Or they're the group who make you think that they're going to keep your secrets, but they really tell the rest of the school about it. Anita doesn't like anyone like that, and it only makes sense that the feeling's pretty mutual.. lovers Examining Anita's love life is like trying to examine a mutant tomato: You'll never know what you'll get. She honestly surprised herself by coming out as bisexual when she was a Sixth Year, so that was a surprise to her family and friends. Most people in the school were hesitant to date someone who honestly wouldn't know what sex she was into. There will be two characters who are reserved for when it comes to who's on the radar to this Badger, and if you're interested in looking at their backgrounds, go ahead and check out the want ad that will be posted (as soon as I can get a chance to do that). |

It would've made sense for Anita Grace Goyle to be sorted into Slytherin. Her parents were both Snakes. Both of them Grade-A jerks. So what made their eldest daughter become a freakin' Hufflepuff, of all things? Let's go over the basics:[break][break]

Both of them were sorted at the same time as Harry Potter. Both of them were raised in traditional Pureblood families. "Always find that Mudbloods are worthless!" It was drilled into their heads so many times, it felt like they were supposed to hate the enemy. So when they met the famous Harry Potter, neither one of them could have cared less. They knew that they were going to hate him for one reason or another. And when Harry was sorted into Gryffindor, that gave them perfect reason to do so.[break]

We all know the stories about Harry and the Slytherins. But back to our subject: The glorious Anita.[break]

She's the first of three girls, born one year after another. And come to think of it, her sisters are both Hufflepuffs themselves. So there's something in the water when each daughter was born.[break]

Perhaps it was the way they grew up. Once the Battle of Hogwarts finished up, each student went on their way. Some of them were never to be heard from again, as the quietly hid in obscurity for what seemed like forever. Anita's parents, however, had "hooked up" as it seemed a year or two after the war. Daphne's sister Astoria arranged the first few dates, but with a little temptation sinking in, Gregory wanted to treat the younger Greengrass child like a woman. After being a Slytherin for so many years, it was time to break out his shell. And thus, the future parents started to act unlike Slytherins.[break]

Anita guesses that somewhere down the line, either her mother or father passed down those sympathetic genes down to each of their children. Compassion sunk in. The moral of importance was brought up daily (it almost felt like it hurt). With each passing day, it seemed like being a Pureblood didn't sound like it was the most important thing in the world. There was no demoralizing those who didn't share the same blood status as they did. No calling Muggleborns by dirty names.[break]

Seventeen years ago, Anita went to Hogwarts for the first time, knowing that she was going to give the Goyle family a new life. She figured that she was probably going to be sorted into Slytherin like her parents were, but the staff who had been familiar with the students pre-war were kind of shocked to hear that a Goyle-Greengrass child wasn't going to be in Slytherin green.[break]

Instead, she was going to be in Hufflepuff yellow.[break]

It was kind of obvious, based on her personality. She always came across as a soft-spoken, mild-mannered kind of person. Nobody suspected her to be such a complete jerk like her parents were so many years ago. Rarely, she got into a fight with her peers. "Anita the Perfectionist" was what most students older than she was called her. While it seemed true, it really wasn't.[break]

Anita was awful with her grades. She barely passed exams, even if she studied hard the week leading up to them. She was clumsy with her in-class potion-making, getting materials all over the desks instead of in the cauldron. It was during those moments where her inner insanity showed. Most times, the girl was nearly running out of the classroom - all because something went wrong. If she could break down while something happened that wasn't supposed to, it would be fine. What else could happen? Everything already did.[break]
