ON A STORMY SEA OF MOVING EMOTION
[attr="class","CVimg1temp4"]  [attr="class","CVcontainer2temp4"] The new school year had only just started and yet there was a mound of homework awaiting Cora all ready. Thankfully she was ready, she was prepared. She'd read as much of her school material during her summer holidays, she didn't get through as much as she'd liked but at least she had a little head start. This year was going to be hard but she knew she could get through it. Cora loved Hogwarts just like the majority of students but she couldn't wait to be graduated. Life was going to be so perfect and amazing. She had an incredible boyfriend, she knew what she wanted to do for a career and she was going to nail this school year and get perfect grades. Positive thinking was her new thing this year because she knew things would be tougher without it.[break][break] Cora hitched up her back pack and made her way into the library. There were a few people here and there but not as many as there would be come May when the exams would be looming. [break][break] Cora looked about for a spot to settle in. She found one not too far in. There was an empty table, the soft glow of artificial light and a lot of books surrounding her. The feel of the library was a comforting one but Cora never knew why, she couldn't figure out why she liked being surrounded by books. As she unpacked her bag she looked at the towering shelves, they made her feel so small, she couldn't explain the estrange sensation she got from being here.[break][break] Cora pulled her books out of her backpack and placed them on the table next to her. She got out her inkwell and quill and set them up. Rummaging deep in her bag she finally found her pieces of rolled up parchment. She got out three and placed them next to her quill. She wanted to keep on top of her assignments as quickly as possible. [break][break] Sitting down Cora shuffled her bag under the table. She opened her Defence Against the Dark Arts books and started ruffling through the pages, looking for any sort of relavent info. She had her class apponted text book and also a couple of others she'd bought from Florish and Blott's on her school holidays. She was going to nail this essay! Just as soon as she could find any information what so ever on the subject. Why did she have a feeling of serious foreboding? Man this was going to be a fail, she could just feel it.[break][break] A couple of hours later and on an open roll of parchment was teh existance of a start of an essay that Cora had started an hour and 45 minutes ago. She sucked at this right now. She'd had such a positive outlook for this year and not even a whole week in to her seventh year and she was flailing. She was not doing anywhere near as well as she had hoped. Had she ruined her brain somehow? Was she becoming dumb? Cora placed her head on her essay parchment and sighed. She was tired and totally not passing her NEWT's.[break][break] [attr="class","CVnotestitletemp4"]

There was very little happening today, just friends all catching up but it was the weekend so that made it a good first day back. It was the 2nd of September and Cora's birthday. At least it was a Saturday, she kept telling herself, and there was another full day off until lessons officially started up. She was looking forward to school this year. She was going to do great. She was focused, she was driven, there was nothing standing in her way to a great year.[break][break] During her fifth year, Cora, like many other students, had to really think about what it was she wanted to do with her life, what she wanted as a career. She’d thought of everything possible, she thought of simply just letting things flow, seeing where she ended up but the she decided to look into becoming an Auror. Well that was it. It was all basically decided from that point on for the young Witch.[break][break] A chill ran through the corridor and Cora folded her arms. She wasn’t wearing her cloak, only her muggle clothes that the wizarding world really seemed to have taken a liking to. Cora had to admit it was far comfier than robes all the time and she loved jeans! She only had a small range of clothes but she needed more jumpers. Winter was creeping ever closer and she needed to be warmer. [break][break] Quietly she headed away from where she'd been walking, roaming aimlessly around the floors of the castle. She’d spent a bit of time in a far corner of the library, reading up on some complicated potions she had a feeling were making their way into the school syllabus this year. She guessed she should probably go visit her dad, he’d want to see her but it was only late morning, lunch would be happening soon and she could see him after that. Potions was going to be a challenge this year but one she was eager to take on. She was looking forward to Transfiguration also and Charms was just a breeze. She and her wand worked well in Charms, it was like a natural gift she had with a complimenting wand. Subjects she sucked at included Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures. Anything that required nurturing was too hard. Astrology she hated and dropped that as soon as she could, though looking at the night sky through a telescope was pretty nice, it was the making and charity of all the moments of the planets and the stars that was the downer.[break][break] Still Cora looked forward to the school year. She’d be home at Christmas and then again at Summer and that would be it. No more school. She’d be applying to the ministry next year in about February or March year to train as an Auror and then she’d be, hopefully, living with her boyfriend. Life would be weird. She’d be an actual grown-up. She was technically a legal adult now by wizarding world standards but it didn’t feel that way, not yet. She was still at school and … and … the thought filled her with both excitement and dread but thankfully she had loved ones that would make her transition so much easier.[break][break] Cora stepped onto the stairs she’d been heading towards. She intended to make her way down to the great hall, get an early start on lunch but the castle seemed to have a mind of its own today, the castle seemed to think that she needed to go the other way so instead of taking her to the left corridor of the third floor it took her towards the charms classrooms. She smiled a little but this was not where she wanted to go, but she supposed Hogwarts had its reasons for sending her this way, perhaps she was going to find a little kitten or a half eaten raven. It wouldn’t be the first time if she did come across a semi-eaten raven.[break][break] [attr="class","CVnotestitletemp4"]

There's so much I could say about this want but I'll start with a basic timeline for the two and then if you feel like you wanna know more, you can carry on! [break] [break]
- Any PB is awesome, those up there are Kit Harrington and Richard Madden as there's some pictures of my PB with them, there's lots of options out there though, these two are just quirky together xD
- I've been calling him "Jasper", mainly in my Bio, just for a name to use, you can use whatever you like
- He can be a temporary character (until New Years) or you can keep him keep him!
- He is 20 going on 21 sometime near the end of August 2024
- He was a Ravenclaw
- He is a muggleborn
- He has known Cora since he was in his 5th year and she in her 2nd
- They met at a party in the Room of Requirements that Cora accidentally stumbled upon
- Cora has always sort of had a crush on him
- At the beginning of her fourth year, his seventh, Cora convinced him for a date
- The date, in Cora's eyes, went incredibly crappy. There was a small picnic planned but it rained, she slipped, they got back to the castle where a crowd of people saw them soaking wet, she was a mess and incredibly humiliated
- During the date He took Cora's hand in order to run when they heard a thunder storm after they hid under a tree
- He liked the date
- Cora avoided him after the disastrous date
- He started dating someone else who I named Rosa
- They started dating again after Rosa broke up with him
- He convinced her for a second date sometime after Valentine's day that year
- Their second date was at Hogsmeade
- They started dating but tried to keep it quiet
- During the summer holidays she spent time at his and they met up around Diagon Alley and various other places etc.
- At some point he got a job (anything you like)
- They have been together ever since
- He visits her on Hogsmeade weekends and they owl one another
- He's getting ready to propose to her at Christmas and she has no idea
- The proposal isn't going to happen because she is going to balls things up!

My plan so far is Cora is going to sort of accidentally, drunkenly, stupidly, freaking wrongly sleep with one of his friends/best friends. That will obviously end his relationship with his best friend and his relationship with Cora. What's worse is he's going to catch them in his bed when he comes home from work *cringe* BUT I am open to any suggestions on other ways to break up. After this they won't have anything to do with one another unless we plot it. Cora wants to become an Auror and will eventually reach that goal but if he works at the ministry also, that could be drama filled to crazy town. [break] [break]

So Cora here will be friends with all ages and houses. She’s a pureblood yes so she’ll have seen a bit of bullying come her way about that but she’s also the daughter of the Potions Master. She started of well at Hogwarts with friends and confidence but when the summer holidays came her friends just ditched her. She was too irritating, loud, obnoxious and snobby. Cora really believes that on an intellectual level, she is above the majority of her peers, something that isn’t always great to be around. With saying that she can be very loyal but calculated in who she spends more time with and the calculations really take into consideration how noticed she’ll be, good or bad.[break][break]
Cora is not usually the shy type, she’ll burst in all wands blazing. She’s loud and forward and won’t beat around the bush. If she has a question, she’ll ask it. She’s quite judgmental but she knows to keep her thoughts to herself![break][break]
For family Cora has two brothers and a sister, all younger than she. Her father, as previously mentioned, is the Potions Master at Hogwarts. Her mother is at home and sadly in Cora’s eyes are divorced. It would be great to see someone play the mum or, from my point of view, it would be cool to see a love interest for daddy-dearest. Cora would not handle that very well. She’s very much a daddy’s girl even though she’s drifted away from him a little since becoming a teenager![break][break]
Romance wise has been a little turbulent in a way. Cora’s only ever had the one boyfriend though she is sexually attracted to many others but she keeps a lid on that. Cora has been with her boyfriend for over two years now and he is graduated. His name, just to give him a name, is Jasper. He’s getting ready to propose at Christmas but she is going to mess everything up to the point they break up and he never wants to see her again. So sad. But yay! Drama’s! Nothing for these two at the moment *unless they randomly bump into one another at Hogwarts or Hogsmeade* but in the future Cora wants to be an Auror. It’s not something she’s been passionate about for long but now she has her mind set on it she’s quite driven and really going for it! Okay, so Teddy’s recent past is pretty much the way Cora’s life is heading only she’s at school but her life is all rosy right now and that just has to change!
Currently Cora’s in a relationship with a boy as sweet as apple pie. He’s getting ready to propose to her over Christmas but she’s going to mess up the whole relationship epically.
After that they’ll split and she’s going to spiral into depression. Alcohol is going to make its way into her dorm room and that’s pretty much all her trunk is going to be for the rest of the school year, shuuushh! She’s going to get used to a party sort of life style and jump from man to man, to woman to woman and anyone else she feels she has a thing for and with her blood alcohol level steadily increasing, that could be anyone.
I think it would be good if Teddy maybe spots the signs, tries to intervene. It of course makes things tricky what with her father working at the school too. He’s bound to notice so I don’t know if EDWARD R. LUPIN and THADDEUS S. ROSIER would talk about it.
Anyhooo! Be prepared for Cora to possibly try hitting on Teddy at some point, probably a little tipsy but who knows! xD

I hope the history was cool from your point of view! There’s obviously going to be some turbulence in her teen years at Hogwarts! He’s going to see her all over the place and of course there’s not going to be too much he can do! He’s also got three other children he’s on the look out for!
I think she still considers herself close to her daddy, it’s just that she’s a teenager now and doesn’t want him knowing a lot of aspects about her life and I’d love at some point a daddy/daughter talk! Have a chat about everything! Jasper/grades/friends/what’s going to happen after Hogwarts etc.

Back in their first year Cora had friends in that year group and as such I think Evie would have been a good one, but Cora sort of became a bit too snobby and know-it-all-y and peeved a lot of her friends and they nearly all just stopped talking to her at the start of the summer holidays. Thought that perhaps Evie kind of started distancing herself from Cora during their second year, not when all the others did but the two still talk from time to time and are on friendly terms. Cora has no interest in Quidditch so from a rivalry point of view, there’s not really one for them to have other than house cup and Cora doesn’t care about that. She knows she can do her part to earn house points and that’s enough for her. I think perhaps these two could be on polite talking terms having been paired up a couple of times over the years in lessons. they also seem to have similar feelings about other students at the school. Have you any thoughts or plots for these two?

Cora would have a massive feeling of distrust towards Alistair. She wouldn’t be afraid to butt-heads with him. I think they’re quite similar in some aspects but in all the wrong ways and as such he’d get under her skin and just irritate her and vice versa if you’d want.

I think these two would be great together but not too often! I think that they’d be so full on the school just couldn’t handle them and they’d tire each other out! They could hang out, get up to all sorts of trouble and just total the school and then after a couple of weeks just be exhausted. I think they’d also be constantly getting into trouble with the Professors, always giggling in class so they’re never paired together and always have to sit on opposite sides of the classrooms!
