CORA C. P. ROSIER & LYSANDER P. SCAMANDERNah, no noogies to girls. That doesn't sound like our little Lysander. I do think that with Cora's history, Sandy's not going to attempt this whole "I want to know the backstory; do I want to upset her" kind of thing with the parents' divorce.
But there is no way he finds anyone annoying. I want to see what he thinks about Cora in a thread. Yes?

LIFE ON THE MOON There was something about shy people that really perplexed Lysander. Perhaps it was because they were polar opposites: He was always in your face and ready to clown around with you on a moment's notice. The quiet ones were always sitting on the sidelines, not wanting to interrupt what someone was doing. Being someone who was out of the way didn't mind the Ravenclaw one bit, although it meant it was harder to read their mind. If they said the magic word, then it would be easier to sit down and talk to them. But until someone did, he'd just kind of play along. Eventually, something would have to give.
Cassandra was one of the Fifth Years who got their shiny little Prefect badge, just like he did. She earned just as much power as Sandy did, which was pretty damn sweet. The two of them, if it even got that far, could talk about how many times they were able to warn little pests if they were sliding down the banisters. Hell, if he'd have his way, he'd be joining those youngsters by actually participating in sliding himself. Unfortunately, it sounded like a bad idea in all forms, so busting little First Years for horsing around was going to be the second best option.
He watched as the Hufflepuff moved her hand from her long hair to a blade of the pitch's freshly-mowed grass, and paid close attention to when she said that she wasn't as lonely as Lysander thought she was. Getting the wrong impression didn't hurt the boy's feelings, which was obviously okay with him. As he leaned back, he placed his palms on the grass and looked straight up into the sky. Kind of a bad idea, as the sun was out and was starting to blind him. "Aw, thank'ee," he said, finally realizing that enough was enough and that he was going to see those unlikeable flashes of light in his eyes. "Y'know, I'd like to personally welcome you into the club. I heard who's been elected as Prefects this year. Us Fifth Years are going to have such a fun time with being able to yell at others!" ulla

LIFE ON THE MOON Lysander had been hugging every student in the castle the minute he found out that he was going to be a Prefect. To wear a badge and play Superman almost every hour of every day... Now that felt kind of good. Being able to stay up a little bit later and roam through the hallways of Hogwarts, catching people doing bad things meant something. For all the times that people had pushed him out of conversations, it was a sign of payback. Or that's what he thought.
So in one of his first duties as one of the school's ass-kickers, he decided to patrol the grounds. There had to be someone there who would be doing something they really shouldn't be doing. He just wasn't sure if he was ready to start docking houses of points. Maybe warning people would suit him better; the Seventh Years could be the ones who would finish cleaning up the mess. Then the Ravenclaw could feel a little bit better about himself. Besides, if he wasn't the one who did the deed, then he wouldn't be hated by the person (or persons) who were caught in the act.
For some reason, he found himself semi-looming around the Quidditch pitch. He wasn't a player by any means - he kind of sucked in his First Year flying lessons. But there could have been people who were doing something wrong. Then Sandy could leap tall buildings and travel faster than a locomotive. Look up in the sky: It's a bird, it's a plane, it's...
Snapping back to reality, the Fifth Year brought his attention back from his fantasy world to the real world. It was necessary, as he saw someone just sitting on the pitch with a broom next to her. It was kind of quiet around there, which was kind of strange considering that teams were going to hold try-outs for empty spots soon enough. He tried to make out who the mystery figure was, but he couldn't if he wasn't standing right next to them. The light bulb in his head went off, and when he put two and two together, he was running out to the middle of the pitch to see who he could talk to. As he did, the figure became easier to recognize: Long hair. Long black hair. Looks like a girl...
He kind of knew who he was talking to, but he didn't know much about her for him to strike some sort of "welcome back" conversation. So when he stopped running and walked up to her, he had his trademark goofy grin on his face. "You look lonely," he said, sitting cross-legged across from the student. "I figured you'd want a conversation buddy before you start snoozing." ulla

CASSANDRA A. HODGKIN and LYSANDER P. SCAMANDER
I think there could be head-cocking on Sandy's part, knowing that there's something up with his fellow yearmate. Somewhere, he's going to find a way to get Cassandra to open up more often - maybe not to big groups, but to one or two people here and there. Would love to thread these two and see what happens.
EDIT: Check your thread at the Quidditch pitch very shortly.

CASSANDRA A. HODGKIN and LYSANDER P. SCAMANDER
These two are definitely acquaintances. Same year, hello? And they're both Prefects. I can't see these two not running into each other all the time. And he's not into being in a relationship as well. Sandy is just this big ball of energy who could totally challenge a Hufflepuff for the title. But if they're not in the same house, there's no chance Lysander is going to be besties. So what do you think? This off-the-wall Ravenclaw and this shy and quiet Hufflepuff at least know each other - agree or agree?

you keep on drawing the line F | Lysander's best friend may well be his brother. He and Lorcan have always been close, even though they've been in different houses for the last four years. They could have been in the Hufflepuff house together, if Lysander wasn't such a damn genius. (Well, not really, but you get the picture.) So he's pretty much friends with everyone, although he's not exactly sure how the younger ones are going to react when there's this blonde-haired boy standing in front of them smiling like a cartoon character. And you know how large the smiles are. | E | Then you have those who want to stay the hell away from our Fifth Year friend. They're the ones who know Lysander's little quirks, and don't care for them that much. Anyone who's pretty much down and depressed (in a "yeah, I'm not really interested in people who feel like they're high without actually being on something" kind of way) will probably be the ones who will have some sort of problem with him. He finds that those who don't like him don't have this cocky way about themselves, but he senses when people kind of hate his guts. | L | This "lovers" category? Yeah, it's kind of funny. Lysander's a Fifth Year. Fifth Years aren't really looking for relationships yet. Don't come a knockin' and a callin', because nobody's ever home. He's not interested in dating, and will want to concentrate on NEWTs before girls. |

This is Lysander Scamander. Ravenclaw extraordinaire. Overall pain in the ass - but that tends to run in the family (he's looking at you, Lorcan). Somehow, he was given a middle name that actually wasn't made up. That's really nobody's fault, considering it's Luna Lovegood as his mother. Though what makes this Scamander kid tick? Let's figure that one out.[break] [break] His family is part-British and part-American, but the American heritage was way back to the days of when a Muggle was called a No-Maj. There are times when Lysander will actually use the term around Hogwarts, especially when meeting Muggleborns for the first time. "Your family doesn't know magic? Good ol' No-Maj parents, they are!" And then he tends to wrap an arm around his peer's shoulders and give them a noogie. When the student is confused about what he said, he has to give them a lesson in what it actually means... And then, they've still got this quizzical look on their faces.[break] [break] The brothers were separated at the Sorting Ceremony. While Lorcan was put into Hufflepuff (alphabetical order based on last name, then first name if need be), Lysander had been sorted in the know-it-all Ravenclaw house. That doesn't seem to bug him, because he was always the smarter one - even though he was technically the younger one by roughly three minutes. He's just as Hufflepuff as Lorcan, being that very outgoing individual who likes to be around people all day and every day. This really doesn't hurt the kid's credibility, although some people think it does. (Whatever.)[break] [break] Lysander has this tendency to be too obnoxious around his peers sometimes. There are actually times where he inserts himself in conversations that he wasn't invited in. Everyone gives him those weird looks, and he quietly gets out of the way. He knows when people are upset with him, and this is one of the times when people get annoyed with him and what he does.[break] [break] He's one of the Ravenclaw Prefects, which comes with a duty to not get under the staff's skin. Even so, there are times when someone threatens to take away his badge. Even so, he knows right from wrong when it comes to in-school policies. He's always too early, rather than too late. He spends exactly five minutes outside of the Common Room, checking for any stragglers who might have taken a wrong turn before going up to the tower. And his Head of House has never seen him break a rule that would definitely cost him his badge.[break] [break] In other words, he's a rule maker rather than a rule breaker.
