Harry Potter was born to Lily and James Potter of Godric's Hollow on July 31st, 1980. His life was irreversibly changed due to a prophecy Professor Trewlaney told to Albus Dumbledore during an interview for the post of Divination teacher. Partially overheard by Severus Snape the prophecy spoke of "a boy with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord being born as July dies." Voldemort not knowing the whole of the prophecy marked Harry as the one who would inevitably destroy him by murdering his parents and attempting to murder him on Halloween 1981. Having failed Voldemort was broken and fled starting Harry's long journey to defeat him, by Rubeus Hagrid retrieving him to be taken in by his aunt and uncle, the Dursleys.[break][break]



Harry spent 11 long years living with the Dursleys whom treated him quite poorly indeed. This was due in large part in their desires to squash the magic out of him, having known his parents were wizards. Their attempts were largely in vain as magic tended to manifest itself around Harry whenever he was particularly upset or frightened. His parents death and the odd things that he could do were ultimately explained to him on his eleventh birthday by Rubeus Hagrid, whom had tracked him down to give him his Hogwarts letter and take him school shopping.[break][break]

Harry's school are the stuff of legends. His first year saw him meet his two best friends (and his future wife on the platform to the train) Ron Weasely and later Hermione Granger. The trio would spend their first year at Hogwarts solving the mystery of the Philosopher's Stone and defending it against Voldemort. Harry would also learn of his connection to Voldemort by his scar and his Quidditch skills that he inherited from his father.[break][break]

His second year would see him learning how to duel, being blamed for attacks on muggleborns, and investigating the Chamber of Secrets and defeating monster within it. Harry would also inadvertently destroy one of Voldemort's horcruxes. Next year Harry found out the truth about his now deceased godfather and help him escape the clutches of Azkaban.[break][break]

His fourth year would test him far more strenuously, his name was put in the Goblet of Fire and he was to participate in the Triwizard Tournament. Ultimately prevailing his elation was short lived. The cup both he and Cedric Diggory would touch was a portkey that lead them to a graveyard where Lord Voldemort returned to full strength. Cedric Diggory was tragically cut down and Harry narrowly escaped. His 5th year would see Harry peering into the mind of Voldemort whilst trying to convince the wizarding world at large that Voldemort had returned. Harry would also butt heads with Dolores Umbridge, a Ministry employee who was teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts. Frustrated with their lack of learning Hermione suggested they found a DADA club (Dumbledore's Army). Harry would spend the rest of the year teaching students DADA in secret until a vision of Voldemort torturing Sirius led him to the Ministry. Having been tricked Harry their a frustrated Harry had grabbed the prophecy contained within the Department of Mysteries and attempted to flee with his friends. During the escape Sirius was murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange. Voldemort showed up and attempted to get the prophecy but Dumbledore intervened allowing them to return to Hogwarts safely. It was then the prophecy was explained to Harry.[break][break]

Haary's 6th year would lead to his understanding of Voldemort's past and his plan to remain immortal: horcruxes. With Dumbledore taking the lead at the end of the year they managed to retrieve one (or so they thought it was fake). When they returned Draco Malfoy had let Death Eaters into the school trying to fulfill the mission Voldemort had given of killing Dumbledore. Ultimately Snape would kill Dumbledore fulfilling a promise he had made to the Headmaster (and Draco's mother) and the Death Eaters fled. Harry's 7th year was spent on the road acquiring horcruxes and destroying them, as well as unraveling the mystery of the Deathly Hallows. This led to a final confrontation at Hogwarts where several where destroyed. Ultimately Snape gave Harry memories that revealed his true allegiance to Harry (he was on their side the entire time) and that he, Harry was a horcrux and would have to sacrifice himself for Voldemort to die. He ultimately did but lived anyway and dueled Voldemort in the Great Hall where his wand ultimately betrayed him as Harry was the true master of the Elder Wand. [break][break]

After Hogwarts Harry married Ginny Weasely in a largely private ceremony that was limited to family and extremely close friends. Harry would go to work at the Ministry with Ron to be Aurors. This was a time of great happiness for Harry, having three children with Ginny and working his way up to second in charge in the department. Harry now spends his days focused on his wife, children, friends and career.[break][break]

Harry gets along well with both Lily and James. James is certainly the most like him. They both share a fondness for Quidditch and Harry was absolutely thrilled when James had gotten on the team. He's even dropped in quite a few times to watch a match, though he tends to be discrete about it (James is still a teenager after all and people tend to gawk at Harry). Harry has always worried about James's grades where he didn't have to with the other two kids. James nearly failed a grade but managed to pull his grades up, he certainly got that from Harry, and that's the only source of friction between the two. Harry tends to be much harder on James about his grades and he's frequently on his case about it.[break][break]

Lily and Harry also had a wonderful relationship. Harry tended to dote on her as she was the only other girl in the household and they acted quite the "daddy and daughter" pair when she was younger. As she grew up she became quite a bit of a tomboy which Harry wasn't upset by at all. She shared the trademark Weasely sense of humour, so the two of them could often be found in a corner rolling with laughter over a shared private joke. Unlike James, and himself Lily tended to be a better student even though she was a rough and tumble as the two of them so he found himself having to scold her less often than the other two.[break][break]

Sadly Albus (name after one of favorite people ever) is the hardest for Harry to understand and get along with. Ginny seems to have a much easier time connecting with him, and it frustrates Harry to no end as he often makes attempts to get close to his son but often feels rebuffed. Albus tends to be like Harry in that he's resourceful and sly, but Albus is also a bit aloof like Harry used to be, but doesn't seem to have grown out of it by making friends. In truth, Albus has traits that Harry often weren't proud of and it makes him scared for his future (even though he is very intelligent and probably shouldn't worry about him). Harry does get glimpses into a softer side of Albus, whom appears to be gentle and kind. Regardless of this Harry still loves him fiercely and will keep trying to work on their relationship.[break][break]

As for his relationships with others Harry and Ginny are still deeply in love with one another, still acting as the kids say, "gross" toward each other, doting fondly on each other. Harry still remains inseparable from Ron and Hermione whom he still sees several times a week (though Ginny is often along so they've become more of a quartet). Harry also keeps in touch with ex-DA members Luna and Neville, and can frequently be seen at the Weaselys for tea-time were he is always welcomed.
