Lorraine Thatcher grew up in London, but her father was actually from the states. He attended Ilvermorny. He traveled a great deal to British Ministry of Magic. It was where he met his future wife. Thomas and Elaine dated on and off for several years. When his living situation became more permanent, he proposed to Elaine, and they were married within a few months. It wasn’t long after that Elaine became pregnant. [break] [break]

Lor is an only child. She was a bright young girl and never went wanting. She grew up in the bustling city of London. From a young age, her parents exposed her to both the magical and the muggle world. They didn’t believe in the purity of blood even though she was a pureblood. [break] [break]

There was great hopes for Lor and it was no surprise when she got her letter to start Hogwarts. It was a surprise though when she was put into Slytherin. Regardless, her parents were proud of their daughter. [break] [break]

At school, Lor was the one who got along with everyone. She didn’t care what a person’s status was or which house they were in. If they got along, they got along. She even played on the Quidditch team for the last two years as a beater. She was smart and worked very hard.[break] [break]

To sum it up, she pretty much had the perfect life. But nothing golden lasts.[break] [break]

From a young age, she knew she wanted to become an Auror. Since both her parents worked for the Ministry, she had met a few. She had always admired their bravery and their purpose and Lorraine wanted to be the same. She knew how hard she’d have to work if she wanted to see her goal a reality.[break] [break]

After graduating Hogwarts, she started her training. It was tough, but Lor had set her heart to it and there was nothing that would stop her. She trained harder, worked harder, stayed longer, and took on any job that was handed to her. Her dream was slowly becoming reality and it was no wonder when she started moving up. She was a strong and reliable solider. [break] [break]

Unfortunately, an accident would change everything. While on a mission in the Middle East, they were ambushed. Lorraine was severely injured, nearly dying. All Lor remembered was walking into what was supposedly a secured room when her group was under fire. It had turned out, one of their own had betrayed them. Someone that was a close friend. He had also been double crossed and was killed that night. [break] [break]

Lorraine woke up in the hospital. She was bedridden for months before she was able to start physical therapy. She pushed herself hard to regain strength, but in the end… Lorraine wasn’t strong enough. A spell had hit her lower back and though she could walk, she would never gain full strength in her legs. For a long time, she needed support to walk. Over the years, she has been able to gain some strength to stand and walk, but not run. [break] [break]

Lorraine would never be the same again. With her dreams dashed, she was now unemployed and disabled. A friend suggested she work at Hogwarts as a librarian. She knew that place like the back of her hand. In the end, she took the job (this year being her first), but the once bubbly girl is now ridden with regret and anger. [break] [break]
